Balamitra Foundation is a registered Public Charitable Trust started in 2016 with a mission to empower underprivileged sections of the society with children leading the way through volunteering and fundraising activities. With our slogan 'together for a brighter tomorrow', our goal is to build a sense of community and togetherness in children at both ends of the spectrum. Our primary beneficiaries are children studying in rural government schools in Vizianagaram district, Andhra Pradesh. While the government provides free education, our aim is to provide support in extracurricular activities like playing sports and reading, and motivating the students by giving them merit scholarships. We also work with high school girls on menstrual hygiene management. Since we began, we have impacted the lives of more than 1500 rural schoolchildren.
